The following bachelor work is dealing with prime catches of fishes in the Czech Republic. The prime catches from the last period (1987 - 2008) had been filed and analysed and these results enriched the previous knowledges about growth potential of those fish species which are attractive in angling. The evaluation concerned thirty one fish species. The biggest catch, in the last two decades, isn't very different from the maximum size of the same species in the last period. The Czech Republic is significant with their prime catches, especially sheatfish, pike, carp and pike - perch. Slapská reservoir, Sázava river and Želivka reservior are the most significant places for the prime catches in Podblanicko region (south part of central Bohemia)
