Following Christ in the life and work of St. Faustina Kowalska

RESUMÉ ROSOVÁ, Kateřina, Following Christ in the life and work of St. Faustina Kowalska This dissertation, as the title suggests, takes aim at following Christ in the life and work of St. Faustina Kowalska. First, in the biographical part, it presents the life of the saint with particular attention to its Christocentric nature. Lastly, it concentrates on an analysis of Faustina's statements recorded in her diary and correspondance directly related to the topic of following Jesus Christ, and to the search of the specific forms of likening to Christ in the life of the saint. Statements of Sister Faustina about this examined subject and the realization of following Christ were compared with biblical revelation and the documents of the Magisterium. Due to this comparison, a conclusion could be made that St. Faustina's approach of following Christ in the dimensions of fulfilling God's will exhibits the mercy and participation of the Easter Mystery and can become inspirational for today's Christians
