The delopment and the formation of the problem solving competence through the activity centers in the step by step program

This work deals with key competencies in the educational program Step by Step. It focuses on problem-solving competence. The practical part of the work is oriented toward action research, through which I attempt to learn how to best and most effectively develop such competence in practice with children. The theoretical part presents problems related to the transformation of the Czech educational system, and is devoted to (the task of) key competencies in the educational framework of the program for elementary-school education, also dealing with alternative and innovative schools.
