Developing communication in children with Cochlear implants

This thesis in theoretical part describes the problems of hearing impairment people, indicates the importance of hearing for child's socialization, and outlines the possibilities of education for children with cochlear implants. Provides basic information about hearing defects, which are divided by type, grade and time of origination. Then focuses on communication of people with hearing disabilities, especially the kinds of communication and specific communication of children with cochlear implants. Further deals with the cochlear implant as a major compensatory utility for the deaf. The practical part of this thesis includes three case studies of children with cochlear implants which includes observation of the development of children's speech and evaluates the success of implantation for the use of speech. An integral part of this work is elaborating with recommendations and drafts of the educational thematic plan for children with cochlear implants in the first grade of primary school for the hearing impaired
