Educational Aims of Czech Jesuits in the 1st half of the 20th Century

Diploma thesis: "Educational Aims of Czech Jesuits in the 1st half of the 20th Century" deals with the Jesuits. The work begins with a brief outline of anti - catholic tendencies in the 16th Century and the history of the religious order Society of Jesus, i.e. Jesuits, untill the year 1950. The live of two founders of the order - St. Ignatius of Loyola and St. Francis Xavier are depicted more detailed. The main part of thesis contains description of the history of individual Jesuit Associations that were centers of spiritual activities. This is followed by depiction of Jesuit educational events in the period from 1926 to 1930, in particular in the territory of today's Czech Republic. My goal was to point out how Jesuits educated in the period from 1926 to 1930 and how could eventually some of their best educational strategies be applied today, not only in the Catholic Church. During preparation of thesis, I worked with available literature and also materials from the Czech Jesuit archive
