The aim of this thesis was to analyse, whether the cooperative learning applied in teaching foreign language influences the vocabulary increase and the growth of motivation to learn foreign language. The intentions were carried out during English lessons at primary school in the school year 2008/2009. The action research was chosen as an essential approach. Vocabulary increase was monitored through didactic tests, growth of motivation to learn foreign languages was surveyed by the help of questionnaires. The gained information were elaborated with informal interviews and with observation. The results of the didactic tests showed, that cooperative learning influenced vocabulary increase positively by the pupils involved in the research. The ...
