The study deals with the recognition of prior learning. It shows how this measure is embedded in the European concept of lifelong learning (LLL) and desbribes the approach to its implementation in the Czech Republic. Within the LLL concept, learning is considered valuable irrespectively of its settings (school, work, family) and the age of learners (life-wide and lifelong learning). The recognition of prior learning enables for learners to have their learning outcomes formally recognised irrespectively of when, where and how they were acquired. It is, therefore, considered to be the fundamental in the process of making the LLL concept a reality. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org
