This bachelor thesis describes the current state of gambling regulation mostly in the Czech republic and in the United kingdom. One of the main topics is the legislation framework of gambling in these two countries. It also analyzes the social costs and benefits of gambling and mentions some statistical data. There are also evaluations of results of some studies, that were studying the actual social impacts of gambling on people. The United kingdom was chosen, because their gambling industry is not controlled by the government, like in the Czech republic.
