Transfer RNAs (tRNAs) are among the most heavily modified RNA species. Posttranscriptional tRNA modifications (ptRMs) play fundamental roles in modulating tRNA structure and function and are being increasingly linked to human physiology and disease. Detection of ptRMs is often challenging, expensive, and laborious.
