Using data from 594 foundations in China, this paper examines the effects of administrative efficiency, measured by price of donation and administrative ratio, on donations to foundations in China during years 2011â2013. The results found that foundations with low administrative efficiency received significantly lower donations than those with high efficiency. This difference, however, was not significant between foundations with medium and high efficiency. The findings suggest that donors pay attention to administrative efficiency when giving to foundations and also allow reasonable administrative costs to maintain foundationsâ operations in China.Link_to_subscribed_fulltex
