Bevezetés: A bal pitvar egy dinamikus mozgást végző, a mitralis billentyűn és annak anulusán keresztül a bal kamrával közlekedő szívüreg. Célkitűzés: Jelen vizsgálat célja annak elemzése volt, milyen összefüggések mutathatók ki a bal pitvar és a mitralis anulus morfológiai és funkcionális paraméterei között egészségesekben háromdimenziós speckle-tracking echokardiográfia segítségével. Módszer: A tanulmányba 35 egészséges önkéntest vontak be. Valamennyi esetben meghatározták a maximális (Vmax) és minimális (Vmin), valamint a pitvari kontrakció előtti bal pitvari térfogat (VpreA) értékét, volumetrikus adatokon alapuló funkcionális paramétereket, valamint a mitralis anulus morfológiai és funkcionális jellemzőit.
