Perencanaan CSR Pada Perusahaan Pertambangan: Kebutuhan Untuk Terlaksananya Tanggungjawab Sosial Yang Terintegrasi Dan Komprehensif

Trend of corporate social responsibility or CSR has been emerging in the past two decades. Mining companies are among the pioneers in this initiative and has implemented CSR as part of ethical and accountable business practice in the eyes of the stakeholders. However, CSR practice in this industry is somehow unique since it is also associated with its operating activities. For instance, its community development program is driving people surrounding mining area to be a qualified supplier for mining needs. Further to that, CSR of mining industry has a longer cycle or stage compared to other industries. This condition requires a multi-years and even multi-decades planning mechanism of CSR programs.This multi-period plan can be started by creating long term plan called as grand design or in some cases called as master plan with the execution period of minimum five years. The plan is also equipped with the long term budget describing the estimation of fund allocation for certain period. It contains the vision, mission, target and objective of CSR programs which are then elaborated into action plans for each years of CSR implementation. Through this comprehensive model of planning, it is expected that CSR initiatives in mining industry can be carried out holistically, able to fulfill the stakeholders’ demands and has orientation on the sustainability
