The possible way to decrease fossil energy is alternative or renewable energy utilization. Sun source is a green energy, sustainable, and unlimited renewable energy. The availability of sunlight source can reduce energy consumption in the future. Solar cell is one of electrical source which is using sun as a source. The large amount of sunlight makes solar cell a reliable and advanced alternative energy. The utilize of solar energy as battery charger to move electricbicycle is the topic of this research. Electricbicycle is useful for traffic area like Jakarta. This research is started by obtain energy needs therefore effective specification of electric motor and the power of solar cell can be determined. The study include the characteristic of the bicycle which known by battery charging time trial; velocity trial; and performance trial on elevation 15o track, go down track to charge the battery, and straight track. The result of this design is to move electricbicycle\u27s velocity in 5,556 m/sec in assumptiondriver mass is 70 kg with the power of prime mover is 160,278 Watt. 40 WP solar panel is the battery charger for 468 AH, therefore the bicycle can move until 11,23 km
