Upaya Mengurangi Pengangguran melalui Peningkatan Wisata Kuliner (Studi pada Pedagang Kaki Lima di Surabaya)

The problem of unemployment is a scourge that is so frightening, especially in developing countries like in Indonesia. This condition confronts us in situations to find solutions to overcome unemployment. One is through informal businesses in the culinary field that gives the opportunity for street hawkers (street vendors) in developing their business. The purpose of this study was presented measures can be taken to maintain the existence of street vendors as a cornerstone in addressing unemployment in line with the development of culinary tourism in Surabaya. This study uses qualitative research methods and sample was taken by convenience sampling. Qualitative methods used to compile the draft action formula management and development of the municipal government and community PKL. The results can be concluded that the informal sector can contribute to the city government in reducing unemployment in which the contribution is possible because the street vendors still exist in the midst of the development of culinary tourism
