In school science classrooms Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can be used to enhance the processes of teaching and learning. Such application of ICT can be referred to as ICT in Education (ICTE). One of the objectives of preservice teacher education Programmes is to advance preservice teachers towards ICTE proficiency. This PhD project is describing preservice teachers’ engagement with ICTE during their on-campus course and school practicum. A proposed framework of elements that encompass ICTE efficacy provides the design basis of this descriptive case study.
