An audience response system enables law lecturers to provide an innovative and interactive learning environment to their students. This article considers how an audience response system has been used in non-law disciplines, how it was used in a law lecture at the Queensland University of Technology, the feedback obtained from the law students and lecturer using the audience response system and the lawyering and generic skills developed by law students using an audience response system. It also provides some words of advice and caution to other law lecturers who are endeavouring to use an audience response system in their lectures
