Youth workers require support to develop and enhance their interpersonal skills so that they can appropriately support some of the most vulnerable young people in Irish society. ‘Facilitation Skills for Health and Well-being’ training was developed with a view to build capacity among youth workers to appropriately manage the mental and emotional health issues of young people that they meet in their daily work.\ud The theories examined in the literature were Transformative Learning (TL) Theory, Experiential Learning (EL) Theory, Diffusions of Innovations (DIT) Theory and Sustainability.
