This study is about the difficulties of teaching English to students in basic education. This work is about factors that affect students´ speaking skills in the 8th grade at the National Institute of San Ramon, as well as administer and analyze instruments in order to know if there are factors affecting the acquisition and development of their speaking skills in the teaching and learning process during the second semester of 2016. The purpose of this study was to identify and verify the factors that affect students´ speaking skills because these factors are affecting their learning and they do not interact in the English class.
