Exercise Participating Behavior and Job stress Effect on Teaching Self- efficacy for Tutor School Teachers with Different Background Factors.

[[abstract]]The major purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship and difference among job stress, sport participation, and teaching effectiveness of teachers who work in after-school class. A survey research were employed in this study and totally 344 questionnaires were collected by convenient sampling derived from those who work in after-school class in central area of Taiwan. The response rate was 86.84%, and the collected data were analyzed by SPSS18.0 with respects to descriptive statistics, T-test, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe comparative method. Research results are concluded as the following: In respect of experienced job stress, there is no significant difference in terms of gender and age. Yet, there are significant difference and negative correlation between sport participation and experienced job stress, which means, teachers with higher involvement of sport demonstrate less working pressure. In respect of teaching effectiveness, there is no significant difference in terms of gender and age as well; yet, there are significant difference between sport participation and teaching effectiveness. In respect of sport participation, only those who age above 40 years have significantly higher frequency in sport participation. According to the result, it is evident that sport participation can serve as consistent index to predict the experienced job stress and teaching effectiveness of teacher in after-school setting
