Penegakan Hukum Terhadap Penambang Batu Breksi Ilegal Di Kabupaten Bantul

This research entitled “ Law Enforcement Towards Illegal Breccia Stone Miners in Bantul Regency”, was motivated by the rampant of illegal breccia stone mining that caused environmental damage and victims. The legal issued raised are (1) How the law enforcement is towards illegal breccia stone mining in Bantul regency?,and (2) whether there are any obstacles in law enforcement towards illegal breccia stone mining in Bantul regency? The types of this research is Empirical Research that focuses on social facts.The research finding has shown that law enforcement towards illegal breccia stone miners has not been done yet. This happens because of some obstacles, ie,there was no good coordination between government agencies, the only department knowing about this illegal breccia stone mining is Disaster Management Agency of Bantul Regency (BPBD) and the chief of village “ Segoroyoso”. However, the situation right now is the transition period as result of the Act Number 23 of 2014 about the Loval Government that transfered the licensing authority of Bantul Regency to the Provincial Government Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). This authority transferring creates confusion between both government, the Province of DIY and Bantul Regency related to their licensing authorities
