Bioplastics have been gaining espace in research projects and many are already being produced on an industrial scale and can replace petrochemical polymers of origin, resulting in greater environmental benefit. They also have great biotechnological potential and can be used as raw material for different products depending primarily on the physical, chemical and thermal properties that show.
