<b>OBJECTIVE:</b> To provide updated, evidence-based recommendations regarding the role of lifestyle modification in the treatment and prevention of hypertension.<p></p> <b>OUTCOMES:</b> Lifestyle modification interventions including exercise, weight reduction, alcohol consumption, dietary modification, intake of dietary cations and stress management are reviewed.
