We present the results of a study of the physical, haematological and serological features of the progress of the SLE-like syndrome in MRL/Mp-lpr/lpr and (NZB x NZW)Fl mice. As part of this study, we have analysed the IEF spectrotypes of anti-ssDNA antibodies in the sera of these mice and shown that the anti-ssDNA response is clonally restricted, as we have previously shown in a mouse chimaera model and in human SLE.
