The structure factor of liquid rare earth metals namely, Nd, Dy, Ho, Er and Lu are evaluated by assuming that these metals in liquid state form a system of coulombicatiy interacting charged hard spheres in an atmosphere of conduction electrons. The linear screening optimisation approximation is applied to take into account the weak coupling of valence electrons and ions. The dielectric function due to Vasishta and Singwi is used to consider the electron correlation in metals
