Countries develop green growth strategies, and the management ofnatural capital is essential. It includes the resources and functionsrelated to ecosystems. Agriculture is a key economic activity that issupported by ecosystems. The value of natural capital might not befully captured in market prices. Natural capital is a major componentof wealth for many developing countries, but has a much smaller shareof total wealth in most high-income countries. Securing long-termresource availability is an important component of greeningeconomies.
