The research described in this thesis is part of the work which is being done in the laboratory of structural chemistry in Groningen on the accurate determination and interpretation of electron denslty distributions in crystals. The experimental densities are obtained by X-ray diffraction. Our interest is focussed on the study of the electron densitieson single, double and triple C-C bonds.
