We investigate the possibility of dynamical generation of a mass for the matter fields in supersymmetric QED3 with N flavours. We conclude that mass generation occurs when the number of matter flavours is less than the critical value Nc=3.24. The effect of supersymmetry is that a potentially dangerous contribution to the wave-function renormalization, which may spoil a similar analysis in QED3, is cancelled
