Recently a novel method was developed to determine Dynamical Domains in proteins from molecular dynamics simulations(1) and from X-ray conformers.(2) This method is primarily intended to be used in the analysis of motions in multi-domain proteins. We will show that, using this method, also in a typical single-domain protein of 85 residues characteristic motions can be filtered out, which can be translated into regions of increased and decreased rigidity
