The volume found in the Public Library of Jerez containing three Spanish Comedies by Leandro Fernández de Moratín, has the enormous importance of including first editions of both <i>The new comedy</i> (1792) and <i>The old man and the little girl</i> (1790), and especially a manuscript copy of <i>The prude</i>, a work which circulated in literary circles of Madrid during the early 1790s, and being even performed in some of them without Moratin's permission.
