he article treats the real meaning of probably the most delusive concept in Marxist political theory, which is the proletarian dictatorship. Hence, it reveals the difference between the Marxist and Leninist interpretation, because the first one conceives the proletarian power not as an authoritative government, but as a democratic rule of worker’s majority against the capitalist minority. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engel’s choice for such a contradictory term can be explained considering their dialectical way of thinking, also by the effort to distinguish themselves among the whole democratic movement
