In order to analyze possible relations among silences and voices in film, this article aims to connect a a contemporary production, Tabu, by Miguel Gomes, 2012, to a 1969 film, Stereo, by David Cronenberg. To analyze the relation between both sound elements and images is to present, for a first time in written words, the results of a brand new research, which studies the possible interfaces between silences and voices in contemporary filmmaking
