Purpose: To assess the results of surgery techniques used in Duane’s retraction syndrome (DRS) type 1. Material and Method: 194 DRS cases followed in the department of strabismus were retrospectively investigated. We assessed 58 cases operated for esotropic DRS type 1 in terms of pre- and post-operative deviations in primary position, abnormal head posture (AHP), abduction deficiency, globe retraction, and up-down shoot. The cases were divided into 3 groups according to the surgical technique applied. The mean follow-up period was 22.4±4.6 (1-13 years) months.
