<p><strong>Objective:</strong> to compare clinical manifestations, course, mental status in duodenal ulcer (DU) patients with a history of perforated ulcer and its uncomplicated course.</p><p><strong>Subjects and methods.</strong> One hundred and thirteen patents with DU were examined. Group 1 included 61 patients with uncomplicated DU<br />and Group 2 comprised 52 patients with a history of perforated ulcer. A comparison group consisted of 20 patients who had undergone laparotomy.
