The aim of this paper is to present a full digital implementation of a field orientation controlled Double Star induction Machine, and a PI controller is designed to control the speed, the machine is fed by a matrix converter. The advent of vector control technique has partially solved DSIM control problems because they are sensitive to drive parameter variations and performance may deteriorate if conventional controllers are used. Fuzzy logic and neural network Based controllers are considered as potential candidates for such an application.
