Necesidades de capacitación en habilidades gerenciales para los gerentes de producción del sector de la arcilla del área metropolitana de Cúcuta

The purpose of this article was to identify training needs in management skills for production managers within the sector of the clay in the metropolitan area of Cucuta. The methodology was developed through a questionnaire of sixty-three items, valid and reliable, the 17 production managers who participated in the investigation. This instrument was developed from the ideal profile in management skills for this position, which was developed based on the article on management skills for effective management of Robert Katz. The results indicate that respondents should be trained in technical skills for planning, programming, production control and inventory control, through software tools. Human skills include capacity building of teamwork, negotiation, leadership and management tools to communicate effectively. Finally, conceptual skills required management methods to collect information. Research provides the ideal profile in management skills for managers of production. In addition, an instrument that can be adjusted to any productive sector to identify training needs of the post in question, which collected information is input into the design of training programs
