This research aims to conduct a philosophical reflection on some of the assumptions and concepts that guide research in ethnomathematics. It covers topics which are familiar in an attempt to point to new horizons and possibilities for philosophical debates in this area. Therefore different theoretical and philosophical aspects are considered influential in this endeavor. The starting point is an article of this field that addresses different concepts (difference, identity, exclusion, culture).
