This paper is intended to present a typological and chronological study about a set of grey burnished republican pottery located in the surroundings of the Iberian settlement, and later the Roman settlement of Los Villares de Andújar (Jaén), the former Isturgi. Beyond adding the location to the distribution maps for this kind of pottery in the Upper Guadalquivir, the findings of this settlement offer the perfect opportunity to deepen in some interpretative aspects about historical and cultural implications, derived from such phenomenon as the production of this imitation pottery between the second and first centuries B.C. in vast areas of the Iberian Peninsula.</p
