This article aim to analyze how the coffee growing regions in Brazil have adapted to the imperatives of globalization. Under the sign of the competitiveness, spread by neoliberal ideology and policies since the 1980s, the coffee regions have been inserted in different ways in the global market. Natural, technical, and organizational conditions have conferred specific spacial productivity for each region. Thereby, we propose to analyze four regions: oeste da Bahia, cerrado mineiro, sul de Minas, and montanhas capixabas.
