A REFLECTION ABOUT THE TEACHING OF GEOGRAPHY AND THE INCLUSION OF DEAF STUDENTS IN REGULAR SCHOOL CLASSES

This article aims to report, in a critical and reflective way, how an inclusive education is being implemented, within the deaf students and the characterization of the Geography teaching perspective. Those perceptions and experiences where collected at the Supervised Internship II. The methodology used was participant observation of the lessons on this discipline in the 5th year of elementary school, in order to identify the challenges that arise in the context of a class composed of deaf and not deaf students. It was taken into consideration in the context of analysis, teaching resources, geographical and methodological approach used by the teacher at the interaction between students, interpreter and the teacher herself. Later, by understanding the needs of the class, there was an intervention, using as a teaching resource, the implementation of a game in order to contribute to the process inclusive education. We highlight here, in this paper, the challenges that urgently need to be overcome in inclusive education at the Regular Education in Maceió/AL. It is emphasized that simple measures adopted in the context of everyday school life, such as the use of educational games, can contribute in the process of inclusion of deaf students and serve as a motivational tool for geography lessons. RESUMO: O presente artigo objetiva relatar de forma crítico-reflexiva as percepções e experiências vivenciadas no Estágio Supervisionado II, acerca de como vem se efetivando a educação Inclusiva, numa perspectiva centrada no aluno surdo e na caracterização do ensino de Geografia. O método utilizado foi a observação participante das aulas dessa disciplina no 5o ano do Ensino Fundamental I, com o intuito de identificar os desafios que surgem no contexto de uma turma composta de alunos surdos e ouvintes. Levou-se em consideração, em âmbito de análise, os recursos didáticos, a abordagem geográfica e metodológica utilizadas pela professora regente e a interação entre alunos, intérprete e professora. Posteriormente, através da compreensão das necessidades da turma, houve um trabalho de intervenção, utilizando como recurso didático a aplicação de um jogo visando contribuir com o processo inclusivo na educação. Destacamos no presente trabalho os desafios que precisam ser urgentemente superados na educação inclusiva no ensino regular em Maceió/AL, ressaltamos ainda que medidas simples adotadas no contexto do cotidiano escolar, como a utilização de jogos pedagógicos, podem contribuir, no processo de inclusão dos educandos surdos e servir como instrumento motivacional para as aulas de Geografia
