Cranial CT scan, encephalic NMR and ECG were negative. Standard analysis and isofocusing of cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF) were normal, while the virological analysis by Real Time PCR, performed on CSF and whole blood, revealed the presence of HHV-6 DNA.
