O sindicalismo brasileiro frente às mudanças no trabalho, na produção e na qualificação do trabalhador

The article analyzes the concepts and actions of the main Brazilian labor unions (CUT, Força Sindical, CGT and SDS) relating to the changes in labor and production in the last thirty years. The sources are primary bibliographic materials produced by the labor unions, with greater emphasis on resolutions from national congresses and plenary sessions of unions. These data were compared with the literature on Brazilian unionism, the restructuring of production and literature on Brazilian public education policies. In this article, we demonstrate how Brazilian unions’ actions and formulations relating to worker qualification converge with those of the state and businesses. Through various arguments, the main Brazilian labor unions argue for the inclusion of the country in a globalized market and reiterate that training of the worker is an essential strategy for thispurpose, in order to increase productivity and competitiveness and ensure conditions of employment for the worker and their consequent inclusion in civic life
