Objective: To test antioxidant property of the endophytic Trichoderma species isolated from the leaves of 12 mangroves of Andaman Nicobar Islands. Methods: Eight strains of Trichoderma species were found predominant and their crude extracts were assessed for antioxidant activity by using seven assays. Results: Total antioxidant activity varied with the strains and it was maximum in Trichoderma EMFCAS8 and other strains also showed considerable activity. Conclusions: This work concluded that mangroves are rich in endophytic Trichoderma species with potential for antioxidant activity
