Background: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) causes a significantly increased risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). Here, we focused on the altered expression of serum miRNAs and their predictive value for OHSS in PCOS patients. Methods: We used the TaqMan low density array followed by individual quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction to identify and validate the expression of serum miRNAs in PCOS patients likely to develop severe OHSS.
