Background/Aims: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is characterized by insulin resistance (IR), but the underlying molecular mechanisms are incompletely understood. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been demonstrated to participate in the signalling pathways relevant to glucose metabolism in IR.
