<p><strong>Background: </strong><em>Rhipicephalus </em>(<em>Boophilus</em>)<em> annulatus</em> tick is one of the most important ectoparasite of cattle. Recently, several laboratories in the world have been concentrated on immunizing cattle against tick using various types of tissue extracts of ticks.
