An overview of intonation in Bemba looking at the main intonational features used in different sentence types including: Declaratives, subordinate clauses, topicalisation, right dislocation, focus constructions and different question types. The paper begins to unravel the intonational grammar of Bemba - the set of intonational tones used - and illustrates some interaction between tone and intonation
