EDITORIAL

This issue of the journal Slověne = Словѣне is dedicated to the 70th birthdays of Prof. Milena V. Rozhdestvenskaya and Prof. Tatiana V. Rozhdestvenskaya—eminent Russian palaeoslavists and specialists in Old Russian studies from St. Petersburg State University and the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Like our double celebration of our dear colleagues, this double issue also turned out to have two parts. All thirty-five articles and notes, which were written specially for this issue by authors from Russia, Bulgaria, Germany, and Italy, met our editorial standards with the observance of the principle of double-blind peer review
