<p/>Many hypotheses have been developed to account for the process of olfaction (for reviews see MOULTON and BEIDLER, 1967; DAVIES, 1971 and POYNDER, 1974), but at the present time none of them has been verified. The olfactory organ demonstrates very interesting receptor properties.
