The scope of wing optimization is to design a structure that meets all the airworthiness demands while minimizing its weight. This paper introduces a review for the most important optimization design tools of composite wings with multiple load cases and large scale design variables. Each discipline resorts to accurate design to ensure better performance. Accurate design and multidisciplinary optimization design for wings need large scale design variables.
