<p><strong>Objectives:</strong> This study aimed to assess the self-reported knowledge and attitude of dentists towards fluoride prescription.</p><p><strong>Materials and Methods:</strong> A questionnaire survey was conducted at the national annual dental congress in 2010 in Tehran-Iran. Dentists’ level of knowledge about the preventive effects of systemic and topical administration of fluoride was assessed as well as their attitudes towards its application. Self-reported practice for two paper patients (a child and an adult with high risk of dental caries) was assessed.
